The Birthing Suites at Our Birthing Center have been meticulously designed and decorated to provide an exceptional birthing experience. The decor is meant to emphasize the normality of birth. At Our Birthing Center, women are free to act more spontaneously during their birth. There is no electronic fetal monitoring except the use of a handheld Doppler ultrasound.  Women may eat and drink as they see fit during labor. They may choose to labor in the shower, tub, on a birthing ball or in bed. Active birth is encouraged and women are free to walk, squat or perform other postures that assist in labor. A large family room with a kitchen allows the client to decide who will be with you or near you as you give birth. The birth center brings generations together to celebrate new life by encouraging grandparents and children to participate in the birth if you so choose. Of course doulas, partners and friends are also welcome.

Remember that nothing about what your body is about to do is unnatural, wrong, or forced. This moment was meant for you, so embrace it! When you are surrounded by comfort, loving support and a welcoming, private space, you can enjoy your dream labor. The more relaxed you are, the easier your delivery will be. If you are cleared by your doctor as a low-risk pregnancy, we highly recommend swapping the hospital for a birthing suite. You and your baby will cherish the experience.

Babies thrive in the loving arms of their mothers, and you will too in our cocoon-like, luxury birthing suites, fully equipped with amenities to make you feel comfortable. Each private birthing suite has everything you need for a safe, natural and pleasant labor, complete with WiFi, so you can stay connected with family and friends or even listen to some soothing music on the Bluetooth sound system. 

Adjust the lighting to something more gentle to create an ideal ambience to get you in the right mood. We have birthing balls, soft, fluffy spa towels and even a cozy bassinet for your delicate newborn. 

There are also TRX straps in one of the rooms, used as birth ropes to help with active labor and birth positions, such as squatting, kneeling or standing while also supporting you for rest. Staying active and using upright positions may help your labor to progress and improve a vaginal birth. This is because gravity helps move your baby down and relaxes your muscles, so your baby can move through the birth canal more easily.

There are many different techniques that can be used with a birth rope, birthing ball and the peanut ‒ your midwife can help you find what is most comfortable for you during labor and delivery.
