As a daughter of a midwife, I have grown up believing in and advocating for natural, normal childbirth. I have worked as a labor and delivery nurse since 2012 caring for both low and high-risk mothers. I strongly believe in each woman’s right to informed, personalized care throughout pregnancy, childbirth and beyond, and count myself fortunate to help provide that kind of care at Our Birthing Center. My husband Tim and I have one daughter Winifred now 3, and newborn son Isaac, both born at Our Birthing Center in 2018 and 2021.

I have had a wonderful 15 year career working in labor and delivery. I have worked at hospitals in Ohio, Colorado and now New Jersey. I am loving the change of pace that the birthing center model of care provides, and I look forward to empowering you to have the delivery you want!

Bethann has been in the birth field for over eighteen years. From the moment she started her career she fell in love with the birth process and viewed it as a true miracle. She has been a Lamaze certified childbirth educator (LCCE) for almost ten years, is a certified birth doula (CD) through Doulas of North America (DONA), and is currently pursuing her certification as a HypnoBirthing® childbirth educator (HBCE).

I had the privilege of having the most amazing birthing experience during the birth of my daughters, now 19 and 16. Thanks to the care provided by my nurses and midwife and have always wanted to be that nurse! I decided to make a career change and switch from engineering to nursing. I have been a maternity nurse for the past 8 years, and enjoy working with families and newborns during the most magical time of their lives.

I have been an OB nurse since 2002, caring for families in antepartum and postpartum with the majority of my work in Labor and Delivery. I teach nursing students in the field on Childbearing. I have 4 children of my own, 3 of them were delivered naturally using the HypnoBirthing method. I breastfed all of my children and my work for my doctorate in nursing focused on disparities in breastfeeding care for women of color. I am thrilled to be part of the birth experience for moms and their families as they bring their little ones into the world.

I have been a registered nurse since 2015, with experience caring for patients from birth to early adulthood. I found my passion in 2020 when I took my first labor and delivery position. Helping women feel empowered and supported during their labor and postpartum period is my true calling and I feel fortunate to be able to assist you during your birth at Our Birthing Center.

I started birth work as a doula in Vermont while working on my nursing degree and felt like I had found the most rewarding job in the world. When I graduated as an RN, I loved incorporating my doula skills into my work as a nurse to help support people having the empowering birth and respectful care they deserve. When I am not at births, you can find me teaching prenatal yoga and enjoying time in nature.

I’m a mom of two kids and a wife to an amazing husband. I’ve been a nurse for 10 years, 6 of them doing Labor and Delivery. I absolutely adore what I do and love being there for moms during one of the most incredible moments of their lives. Being a mom myself I can appreciate the beautiful chaos of childbirth and the sheer magic of motherhood.
